FLM Spring Equinox Festival for Feed a Smile!

The stage is set...literally. This weekend we kick off another amazing two days of music here in Secondlife at the FLM Spring Equinox Festival for Feed a Smile!

So what is FLM?

FLM is short for For the Love of Music and is a venue and Festival organizer focused on bringing together the Music Community in SL to support each other as well as support childrens charities around the world.

So.... Why?

Let's get real.

Back in 2012 my rl son was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 4 He has since recovered and is doing well. Because of this I have previously held fundraisers for the Swedish child cancer society and participated RL in different musical events to benefit this cause. Since I started doing music in SL I wanted to find a way to do this here as well and because of this FLM was born in the summer of 2019 and it was amazing to see so many talented performers give of their time and skill to support children everywhere.

And this weekend March 20th -21st we are so excited to be able to hold this years spring festival at our new sim! so it's a double whammy! The FLM festival for Feed a Smile as well as the Grand Opening of the new community sim Crystal Cove!

A labour of love on so many levels, the sim is an amazing place to explore and relax as well as live.

With rentals almost filled plans for the next level and Crystal Cove neighborhood are already on the way!

The Festival will be slightly extended this time around to encompass later hours as well and therefor ending at 7pm slt both days, and I have to say I am so excited about the lineup! both the wonderful artists that are joining us again as well as the new faces and voices we long to hear!

This time around we decided we wanted to open the stage for the opportunity both to showcase more artists but also to give anyone who wants to be a part of raising money for Feed a Smile a chance to take part in more ways than one, so both by giving lindens and/or their time and talent. This is why we are opening the festival with a Artist Showcase/Open Mic Saturday between 4-6am slt. The following lineup features some truly amazing veteran sl performers as well as kickass new talent all coming together for the love of music and with the knowledge of what an impact music can have in the lives of others.

Since the sim also features a selection of boating options and rivers we also thought why not get together for the start of day two and just have a blast doing a bunch of boat races? so for anyone wanting to come on over Sunday at 4am and let's get boatin and floatin!

Plus we have an amazing limited edition piece of artwork up for auction by Jennifer Steele that you do noooot want to miss bidding on!

It is freaking gorgeous and If I can imma have it just sayin..you're gonna have to beat me to it ;P

I can honestly say that these are some of the most rewarding and amazing weekends in my secondlife as well as my rl one. And i really hope to share it with as many of you as possible.
